- Stephen King's opinion may drive a stake through the heart of "Twilight" author, Stephenie Meyer. In an interview with USA Weekend, the bestselling author compared Meyer with J.K. Rowling , the author of the Harry Potter series. According to Stephen, "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good." Meeooww!While Stephen may not be a fan of Stephenie's writing, he understands the appeal of the series. "People are attracted by the stories, by the pace and in the case of Stephenie Meyer, it's very clear that she's writing to a whole generation of girls and opening up kind of a safe joining of love and sex in those books. It's exciting and it's thrilling and it's not particularly threatening because it's not overtly sexual." He further explains, "A lot of the physical side of it is conveyed in things like the vampire will touch her forearm or run a hand over skin, and she just flushes all hot and cold. And for girls, that's a shorthand for all the feelings that they're not ready to deal with yet." _______________________ So, basically he just dragged her whole Twilights series through the coffin with a stake. Go SK!!!!

o= Ooooooh snap.
I enjoyed the Twilight series, but I didn't like the last book--almost everyone I know hated it, too--and was very upset at the happy ending.
Stephen is a really good writer. I'm actually reading a book of his currently--I believe it's called The Shining, though I can't remember rightly because I haven't picked it up in a little over a week. :'D I'm just that cool.
.........I love it when people do that. He totally killed her books. XD He said she can't write worth a darn..I'm sure he meant....you know. =P
o3o I didn't think Twilight was sexual enough, actually. A ton of fans were expecting a page or two of some hot and passionate sex, and all they got was the chapter ending with like Bella and Edward like...skinny dipping or something, and the next chapter starting with Bella waking up and Edward looking at her and being horrified of all the bruises on her that she didn't even feel. e_e Kind of lame......
Stephen King = better writer than Steph Meyer.
